Five genres of jewelry design, which one do you like?

We usually divide jewelry design into five genres:

Allegorical jewelry

This design language is most widely used in gold and emerald design, especially in Chinese traditional jewelry design . Jewelry designers incorporate more emotional thoughts into design shapes, and express different meanings, homologies, or symbols, or body protection, or security through pattern processing. It expresses people's beautiful desire to pursue good fortune and avoid disaster, and pray for good luck.

So.... what is your Prudential Relationship Index...

Did you know that Prudential recently launched the inaugural in the attempt to understand the state of personal relationships in Malaysia and throughout Asia. These included relationships with partners, children, parents, friends and relatives. A full score of 100 would of course be the ideal score on the PRI meaning that a person’s relationship is everything that they want ..

After all, we cannot deny that in life, it all comes down to the people we care about. Our close relationships, friendships and intimate ties are important to our own happiness, well being and longevity.

Being a parent....

Today I am taking a break from 'promoting' anything, not because I do not have anything to blog about but actually I do... have a few backlogs, but they can wait for the next few days..

Image may contain: 4 people

Today I want to share my thoughts, my two cents point of view on parenting.. well, it is not the first time and I have blogged about something similar, but it is just the way I feel... now I am not going to say that I am the best mother ever and I am far from that, but it does sadden me at times when I see other parents trying to 'give the best' to their kids in terms of education and all... but end up stealing their children's childhood...

My husband's birthday celebration... (in pictures)

My other half turned one year older recently on the 20th of February and we had a couple of little celebrations for him. First it was lunch at the Secret Recipe in Prima Seri Gombak after a plan to have lunch at the Restaurant Kari Kepala Ikan SG backfired as the restaurant was closed because of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Hubby ordered a serving of English Breakfast Tea .....

And I got a glass of iced lemon tea...

Our little girl ordered the Seafood Spaghetti Aglio Olio which came served with errmmm..... red bell pepper?!

The Spaghetti was pretty yummy though, although a little bit more spicier then I would have thought it to be and my little girl enjoyed it with her eldest sister, Alyssa.

They even had a "Lady and Tramp" moment chomping on the same spaghetti......

Here is my picture with the birthday boy... hehehe

I ordered the Vietnamese Beef Noodles which looked pretty bland... My guess is that they have run out of proper garnishing because of the Chinese New Year....but the taste is flavorful and reasonably ok

Hubby ordered the Vegetarian Mushroom Pesto Pizza and everyone was tempted to steal a bite.

My lovely step daughter ordered the Dory with Lobster Sauce which looked pretty dull and strange with the garnishing... actually it looked a bit unappetizing..but as for the taste, I guess it is just about ok

So let's see...We probably chalk this down to Chinese New Year and the lack of ingredients....

A birthday celebration is not complete without a birthday cake... and a slice of Chocolate Banana Cake did the trick...

The birthday boy looked cool and composed as we serenaded him with our "Birthday Song"

....and cut his cake like he cut fruits.... LOL

Anyway, we had a good time with his lovely ex wife, Amy and lovely daughter Alyssa who made time to spend his special day with him...

Later in the evening, the celebration was at Bukit Antarabangsa at my sister in law's home...

We had assorted muffins which tasted scrumptious....

Here is my handsome nephew, Ian....

On the menu was some Sate Kajang Haji Samuri,.....

... and some seafood fried rice specially made by my other nephew Azraai....

...and some finger food bites which was of course the most popular one among the family...

Second time blowing the candles.....with my mother in law and our little girl

Make a wish and may it come true.........

Photo with the family.....left to right hubby, elder niece, Jamie; and Hazel

... with the nephews....  mother in law, Chef Azraai (hehehe) hubby, Ian and little girl

Opening the pressie....

The lovely family portrait.....of mother and siblings....

We even had an ang pow exchange among the family members just for Chinese New Year....

And hahahaha.... here are my husband's presents.....lots and lots of new clothing. Thanks to all dear family members for the great moments together and gifts on behalf of my other half... Love you all...

Cheers

Counting my blessings

Today is my birthday and also the first day of Ramadan. I am in the last 30 series now and will be turning 40 next year...
Life has been a roller coaster of many ups and just as many downs.
I am blessed to be surrounded by my husband, mother and awesome children. I also have many great friends and people who look out and care for me as well as supportive relatives. My dear cousin who never fail to back me up and advice me.

Dedicated to my son Adam Danial

I must say I have under estimated my son. My son, Adam Danial, has never been a strong student in school unlike my eldest daughter,  Suria Natalia, so I did not expect him to get any As in his exams.
I was so sure he won't do that well as he was playful, at certain times lazy and it annoyed me no end.
Over the months leading to his SPM, I have mentioned to my husband and some close friends/relatives that I would be more then thankful if he could pass his SPM and get 3 credits to enable him to get into one of those colleges or universities.
Today however, I must admit my mistakes as he proved to me he could be better then I thought him to be and scored 5 credits and passed the rest....
Adam Danial, I am truly proud of you.. almost as proud as when your sister got her 6 As... my two older children definitely out performed my expectations..
On the 6th of April, my son will go for his 3 months National Service stint. I pray and hope he will learn to be more independent and rise above himself to be an awesome , independent and successful young man.
